Fraser Colorado is the coldest spot in the lower 48 states. It’s average mean temperature is 32.4 degrees. It has a growing season of 4 to 7 days. I guess growing tomatoes is out of the question….outdoors anyway.

….40+ years ago it was not uncommon for some studehts to ride their hores to school . Especially those from nearby ranches. One kid rode from Craig Colorado to Fort Collins in the fall and rode the horse home at year’s end. That was 200 miles each way Then there were the kids that had never seen a dial telephone….or a television. It all seems like yesterday….but I guess it wasn’t.

From what I understand it is most likely smoke from the California wild fires.
They are over 1,000 miles away.
